Job description

  • Manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and storage areas.

  • Develop work schedules and assign duties to housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.

  • Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate housekeeping team members.

  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are maintained.

  • Ensure all housekeeping activities comply with company policies, health and safety regulations, and brand standards.

  • Coordinate with the Front Office, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure timely room availability and guest satisfaction.

  • Respond promptly to guest requests, concerns, and complaints, ensuring effective resolution.

  • Monitor housekeeping supplies, linens, uniforms, and equipment, and manage inventory efficiently.

  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets while controlling labor and operating costs.

  • Oversee preventive maintenance reporting and ensure housekeeping equipment is properly maintained.

  • Maintain accurate departmental records, reports, and performance metrics.

  • Promote a positive work environment focused on teamwork, productivity, and continuous improvement.

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field is preferred.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of housekeeping experience, including supervisory or management experience.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and hotel operations.

  • Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, when required.

experience is an asset

Prior experience working with Opera or a related system

Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus
