SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment used in paint manufacturing to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment while minimizing downtime and complying with company safety, quality, and environmental standards.

The position is based in Dubai and reports to the Maintenance Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment by performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, install, and maintain a wide range of mechanical and production equipment, including mixers, mills, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, agitators, valves, storage tanks, pipelines, dust collection systems, filling and packing machines, and associated rotating equipment and components.

  • Execute planned shutdown maintenance, equipment upgrades, and plant improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and improve operational efficiency.

  • Investigate equipment failures, support root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve maintenance practices.

  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and other stakeholders to coordinate maintenance activities, ensure spare parts availability, and minimize production interruptions.

  • Comply with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including LOTO, Permit-to-Work, Confined Space Entry, and ATEX/IECEx standards, while promoting a strong safety culture.

Qualification:

Required: Diploma, or Vocational Certificate, in a Mechanical or a related field.

Required: 5–10 years of relevant experience in the paint industry or similar process industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or oil & gas
