This specific position sits at the Group Level, meaning it has a broader scope supporting and driving business operations across both of our global brands.

As a Senior Software Engineer , you will lead the function that serves as the vital bridge between the organisation’s business operations and its technical core, ensuring that every system architecture, technical specification, and code delivery meets our highest excellence requirements, the engineering calendar is strictly respected, and platform performance is analysed with absolute precision.

This isn’t just about writing code; it’s about driving high-performing engineering to build trust, deliver scalable solutions, and ensure our stakeholders have the visibility they need to grow with confidence, every single time.

What You'll Do:

• Execute the product roadmap by driving the progressive migration from legacy PHP to Laravel while ensuring zero regressions on core business workflows.
• Design and develop comprehensive software features across APIs, business logic, and database schemas.
• Establish internal engineering standards by defining coding guidelines, code review processes, and robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide expert technical and architectural recommendations on technical debt management, system security, and performance optimisation.
• Partner cross-functionally with business stakeholders across finance, operations, and compliance departments.

What You'll Bring:

• 8+ years of professional experience in backend web development, demonstrating advanced expertise in modern PHP ecosystems and Laravel frameworks.
• Strong grasp of enterprise SaaS architectural challenges: complex data modelling, financial transaction processing, multi-tenancy, data encryption, and multi-actor JWT authentication.
• Proven track record in legacy-to-modern migration environments: navigating legacy codebases, refactoring safely without breaking core functionality, and documenting technical workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical professional experience).
• Professional certifications in cloud computing, software architecture, or backend development frameworks are highly valued.
• PHP 8.3, Laravel, MySQL, Docker, AWS (EC2, RDS), GitHub Actions, Sentry, Jira, HubSpot, and AI-augmented development toolchains (Claude Code, internal CLIs).
• Fluent in English (written and spoken). Proficiency in French, Spanish, or other group languages is a strong plus.
