What you’ll do
As part of the global Plant Production Group, you will support and oversee contract growers worldwide, providing technical guidance on field establishment, cultivation, harvesting, and processing to ensure high-quality plant production.
You will contribute to the development and implementation of cultivation procedures, support the geographic expansion of production activities, and ensure compliance with feed industry standards related to safety, traceability, quality, and regulatory requirements.
The role is also responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, optimize costs, and strengthen supplier performance, while connecting and working closely with Discovery, Create, Supply Chain, Signal Intelligence, Regulatory, Quality Assurance, and Procurement teams.
Finally, you will help secure the timely supply of quality-compliant plant materials in the required volumes and you will support capability building through training and knowledge transfer to Nutreco OpCos and external business partners.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is passionate, accountable and ready to Own this role. Someone who is confident, influential and able to lead from the front.
You’ll also need:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in agriculture or Horticulture with several years of professional experience in a relevant field.
Experience in building relationships with contract growers and finding and onboarding new growers
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with team members and stakeholders across multiple teams including the growers in the countries of production.
Advanced English. Additional languages like Spanish or German are a plus.
High level of initiative, autonomy, reliability, and flexibility in handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Ability to travel, up to 25% of the time, to visit the growers and the production fields, and to participate in collaborative meetings.
This role will be based in Arbon, Thurgau, Switzerland. Full-time on-site presence in our Garden of the Future site is mandatory for close collaboration with the team.
