Inland & Delivery Team Leader is responsible for cargo movement, and intermodal cost leadership through end to end process ownership. They will also ensures timely and planned delivery of import and export containers while utilizing preferred or line approved routings, linked to inland growth providing the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

Develop a professional and customer-focused team through role modelling, leadership and coaching

Drive commercial intelligence within own team

Work together with sales teams on ways to provide better service to customers

Drive continuous improvement of process performance and team efficiency

Provide support to global and local initiatives and projects

Actively contribute to the local management team-share views

Share ideas and experiences on how to further improve team, departmental performance and customer experience

We are looking for:

A team player who is dedicated, flexible and open for challenges, especially within the Maersk structure.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 3-4 years of experience in the transportation/shipping industry

Skills and competencies

Good understanding of the transportation industry

Excellent and open communication with stakeholders at all levels; represent the group in internal and external meetings

Organizational and time management skills – strong prioritizing, planning work activities efficiently to meet deadlines and goals

Conflict resolution and negotiation – bring others together and reconcile differences

Drive for results/success – deliver under pressure, conveys a sense of urgency and drive issues to closure, persist despite obstacles and opposition

Ability to work/decide independently

Cost awareness

Customer focus - meet the expectations and requirements of internal customers; drive for quality and improvement of products and services; acts with customers in mind

Fluency in German and advanced level of English

Working knowledge of MS Office package
