As an IAM Onboarding Specialist, you ensure that new applications and systems are connected to Alliander’s SailPoint platform securely and reliably. You work within ART Identity & Access Management (IAM) and play an important role in further professionalising our onboarding and identity lifecycle processes. As part of an enthusiastic and growing team, you will have plenty of opportunity to apply your expertise and continue developing your skills. You make the grid more secure at Alliander.

Dit ga je doen

The energy transition is impossible without you as an IAM Onboarding Specialist

More and more systems and applications are needed to enable the energy grid of the future. This makes effective Identity & Access Management essential. In this role, you ensure that new systems are connected to SailPoint securely, on time and in line with our IAM guidelines. You bring technology, security and processes together, helping identity and access management remain reliable and scalable within Alliander.

You will join the SID Team, which is responsible for developing, managing and continuously improving the SailPoint platform. You will collaborate with a range of specialists and actively contribute to improving our onboarding processes and integrations.

We are building the energy grid of the future for everyone, with everyone. As an IAM Onboarding Specialist, you contribute by:

  • onboarding new applications and systems to SailPoint, including source and target system integrations, provisioning processes and lifecycle logic;
  • building and configuring connectors, schemas, transformation rules and policies within SailPoint;
  • testing and validating onboarding solutions and ensuring they remain maintainable over time;
  • working with stakeholders to define and implement access requirements for applications being onboarded;
  • improving and standardising our onboarding processes and ways of working;
  • resolving technical issues relating to integrations, provisioning and identity lifecycle processes.

You make the grid more complete at Alliander

Did you know that Alliander consists of several companies that work together on a reliable and future-proof energy grid? Together with a large group of professionals, we develop and manage the energy grid for millions of people and businesses in the Netherlands. Everything we do is driven by the needs of the people who depend on us. Thanks to our talented colleagues, we have every confidence in the future of energy in the Netherlands.

You will work within a part of our organisation that focuses on secure and future-proof digital access. This is where we protect our digital ecosystem while supporting colleagues with reliable identity solutions.

Within the Identity & Access Management Agile Release Train (ART IAM), you will help build seamless, secure and resilient identity and access management solutions for both human and non-human identities. In doing so, you help improve operational efficiency and directly contribute to the security of Alliander’s digital services.

Monday is our regular team day at Parktoren in Arnhem. On Thursdays, you also have the option to work with the team from our Basisweg 10 office in Amsterdam.

At Alliander, AI is not something for the future: it is already part of how we work. The tools we use vary by role and will continue to evolve. For us, it is not about using one specific tool, but about having the right mindset. We expect you to actively use available tools, from Copilot to Power Automate, to make your work smarter and more efficient. Your current level of experience with AI may vary. What matters is that you use it critically and responsibly and are willing to integrate it into your day-to-day work.

You make the grid more energetic

You enjoy solving technical integration challenges and building secure, scalable solutions. At the same time, you are keen to keep learning, improve processes and work closely with other specialists.

Does this sound like you? Great! Especially if you also bring:

  • strong analytical skills and the ability to work at bachelor’s or master’s level, combined with hands-on experience in application onboarding, identity lifecycle management and provisioning;
  • hands-on experience with SailPoint ISC, including connectors, schemas, attribute mappings and workflows;
  • the ability to quickly assess technical dependencies, risks and solution options;
  • the ability to explain technical decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • an understanding of secure-by-design principles, IAM compliance and agile ways of working;
  • some knowledge of Dutch is an advantage but not a requirement. What matters most is that you are willing to learn the language.

Not sure whether you meet every requirement? We still encourage you to apply, as we also consider your potential.

What we offer you

For this role, based on a 40-hour working week, you will receive:

  • a gross monthly salary ranging from €4,672 to €6,674 (salary scale 9);
  • an annual Individual Choice Budget (IKB) of 18% for full-time employment or 12.8% for part-time employment, based on your gross annual salary;
  • 24.5 days of annual leave, with the option to purchase additional days using your IKB;
  • an end-of-year bonus of 6% of your annual salary, paid in December;
  • an annual sustainable employability budget of €700;
  • a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to combine working from home and at the office, as well as the possibility of temporarily working from abroad.

And naturally, we offer much more. Read more about Alliander and all your terms of employment.
