The Global Strategic Advisor practice is part of the Global Solutions Business Group - which is one of five strategic business groups at Ankura

Our work focuses on helping organisations engage with governments, NGOs, multilateral institutions, activists, and regulatory bodies to address operating and alignment challenges driven by geopolitical dynamics, nationalism, and global competition.

We also guide clients through public disclosures and transactions in both private and capital markets, while supporting them in managing their reputation during critical moments of change, challenge, or opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation system for projects and programs

Collect, compile, and analyze data to identify trends and insights

Prepare detailed reports on the progress and outcomes of projects

Assess the effectiveness and impact of the various programs and initiatives

Develop and utilize effective data collection tools and methodologies

Coordinate and communicate with various stakeholders regarding project outcomes and improvements

Provide technical advice to project teams regarding monitoring and evaluation methods

Train and guide staff in carrying out their monitoring and evaluation responsibilities

Ensure that all monitoring and evaluations are conducted in accordance with ethical standards and practices

Provide recommendations for improving project performance and efficiency.

Requirements:

Proficiency in designing and implementing robust monitoring, evaluation in M&E frameworks, including the creation of logical frameworks, performance indicators, and defining targets and applying different methodologies.

Expertise in identifying data sources, determining collection methods, and conducting data analysis to track progress and measure impact.

Strong ability to manage and oversee M&E activities, ensuring smooth implementation and timely delivery of outputs.

Ability to align strategies with broader organizational and programmatic goals, and provide strategic guidance to enhance project effectiveness and impact.

Expertise in implementing quality assurance measures to ensure the accuracy, validity, and reliability of collected data.

Strong report writing and communication skills to prepare clear and concise reports for stakeholders, as well as to disseminate lessons learned

This role requires fluency in both English and Arabic, as it involves regular communication with Arabic-speaking clients and partners. This language requirement is essential to meet business needs and ensure effective service delivery.

Powerful interpersonal skills and high level of emotional intelligence to partner with executive management teams and passion for enabling leaders to drive change within organisations

Mentor and guide Tems, reviewing their work and supporting skill development

Must be able to travel at short notice including nationally and internationally.
