About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to join our dynamic Trade Operations team. This role will focus on the processing and administration of Open Account Trade (OAT), leveraging emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of trade finance, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role offers exciting opportunities to work with cutting-edge Gen AI tools and contribute to the continuous improvement of our operations.

Gen AI Intervention Potential:

The role will incorporate Gen AI in several ways, including:

• Automated Document Extraction: Gen AI can assist to automate document types classification, matching of related documents and data extraction from applications for completeness and accuracy, reducing manual effort and improving turnaround time.

• Automated Processing Checks: Gen AI can assist to automate processing checks against processing checklist and compliance guidelines, hence reducing manual effort and improving turnaround time.

• Process Automation: Gen AI can help to automate repetitive tasks, freeing up the analyst to focus on more complex and value-added activities.

Responsibilities

• Open Account Trade (OAT) Processing & Administration: Process and administer OAT transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all internal policies and compliance requirements. This includes pre-processing/processing of applications, miscellaneous functions and complying with the stipulated turnaround time. Transaction processing includes and not limited to:

• Processing of invoices & transport/supporting documents

• Processing of disbursements to client

• Application of payments received to outstanding invoices

• Monitoring and follow up with buyer on overdue invoices

• Stakeholders Interaction & Communication: Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external clients in transaction processing and address any queries.

• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of compliance guidelines and ensure all processes are compliant to requirements.

• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Relevant experience in trade finance products and documentation.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with Gen AI tools or data analytics is a plus, but not required. A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is essential.
