For our projects in Riyadh, Makkah and Madinah, we are looking for

Architect - 100% (m/f) with experience in the Middle East.

The Ideal Candidate will have strong experience in the construction-stage technical coordination and delivery of large-scale hospitality and mixed-use developments. The candidate will have a sound understanding of architectural shop drawings, technical submissions, materials, RFIs and multidisciplinary interfaces, with the ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, BIM teams and other engineering disciplines. Experience on luxury hotels, branded residences, high-rise or complex mixed-use developments is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Review IFB and IFC architectural drawings and identify design changes, discrepancies, omissions and potential construction impacts.
  • Review architectural shop drawings prepared by subcontractors for compliance with the approved design intent, contract drawings, specifications and applicable standards.
  • Review architectural material submittals, samples, technical data and supplier documentation.
  • Review construction method statements for technical compliance.
  • Prepare, review and coordinate responses to RFIs and technical queries.
  • Coordinate architectural interfaces with structural, mechanical, electrical, ICT/ELV, façade, fit-out and specialist disciplines.
  • Support BIM coordination and ensure architectural clashes and interface issues are properly resolved.
  • Consolidate multidisciplinary comments and support timely resubmission and approval of technical documents.
  • Monitor consultant and PMC comments and follow up until closure.
  • Coordinate with the Main Contractor, subcontractors, consultants and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with the architectural requirements and standards of the relevant hotel operators.
  • Maintain accurate records and registers for architectural drawings, shop drawings, RFIs, approvals and technical correspondence.
  • Attend technical and coordination meetings and follow up on assigned action items.
  • Contribute to weekly and monthly engineering progress reports and approval-status tracking.
  • Coordinate architectural deliverables with procurement and construction activities to support the project programme.
  • Ensure that only the latest approved documentation is issued and used for construction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from a recognised university.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven experience on large-scale hospitality and mixed-use developments.
  • Experience on luxury hotels, branded residences, high-rise towers or complex building developments is mandatory.
  • Strong construction-stage experience, including architectural shop drawing review and technical coordination.
  • Previous experience working with international consultants, PMCs, main contractors and specialist subcontractors.
  • Middle East experience is mandatory; experience in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural materials, detailing, construction methods and building interfaces.
  • Good understanding of the Saudi Building Code and relevant international building codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with working knowledge of Navisworks and BIM coordination processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple technical submissions and priorities within demanding project schedules.
  • Strong analytical, coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to be based on project sites in Riyadh, Makkah or Madinah.
