Job description
Role Overview
-
Investment Performance is a key client outcome that can be affected by product set-up, valuation methodologies, operational processes, data quality, system configurations, and reporting logic.

The Investment Performance Governance Specialist is responsible for overseeing the governance of investment performance across Wealth Management platforms and channels, ensuring performance results are accurate, explainable, and aligned with approved methodologies.

The role serves as a key coordinator and subject matter expert for investment performance-related matters, partnering with business, technology, operations and control functions to investigate issues, drive remediation, and enhance governance outcomes.

In addition, the role supports governance reviews, methodology enhancements, strategic initiatives, and front office engagement to strengthen investment performance capabilities and client outcomes.

The role may also support broader Governance initiatives relating to Product Due Diligence, Client Suitability, Asset Classification, and other governance frameworks as required.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Performance Governance
-
Maintain and enhance investment performance methodologies, governance standards, controls, and supporting documentation.

Conduct periodic reviews to ensure methodologies and reporting practices remain aligned with business, regulatory, and client requirements.

Act as a subject matter expert and key point of contact for investment performance-related matters.

Support governance forums, management reporting, and implementation of governance standards.
Issue Investigation & Resolution

Lead investigations into investment performance-related issues across products, valuation, operations, data, systems, and reporting processes.

Perform root cause analysis and impact assessments to determine the source and extent of issues.

Coordinate stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable solutions.

Support governance reporting and escalation of material issues where required.
Business Change & Implementation

Translate business and governance requirements into workable solutions across Avaloq and related platforms.

Support system enhancements, methodology changes, client reporting initiatives, and governance projects.
Stakeholder Management & Front Office Support
-
Partner with business, technology, operations, finance, risk, compliance, and control functions to drive delivery and issue resolution.

Support Front Office staff through training, communications, and performance-related guidance.

Respond to performance-related queries and communicate investigation outcomes where required.

Develop training materials and user guidance relating to investment performance methodologies and reporting.
Cross-Functional Governance Support

Support broader Governance initiatives involving Product Due Diligence, Client Suitability, Asset Classification, and related governance frameworks.

Participate in governance reviews, regulatory initiatives, audits, and control assessments.
Requirements

Significant relevant working experience, preferably in a similar role
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex business, operational, and technology issues.

Experience conducting root cause analysis, impact assessments, and issue remediation across multiple stakeholders.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, technology, operations, and control functions.

Ability to translate technical concepts and system logic into practical business solutions and recommendations.

Experience with Avaloq will be a strong advantage.

Familiarity with a broad range of financial products, including funds, fixed income, structured products, derivatives, and private assets.

Understanding of investment performance methodologies, including Time Weighted Rate of Return (TWRR), Money Weighted Rate of Return (MWRR), Net Cash Flow (NCF), and related performance reporting concepts.

Exposure to Wealth Management governance functions such as Investment Performance, Product Due Diligence, Asset Classification, or related control functions would be advantageous.

Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
