Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsman to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and construction plans based on project specifications and engineering requirements. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of construction drawings, drafting software, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings for construction projects.
• Develop and revise drawings based on engineers', architects', and project managers' requirements.
• Interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and convert them into detailed drafting documents.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, regulations, and company standards.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve drawing discrepancies and technical issues.
• Maintain drawing records and document control procedures.
• Review and update drawings throughout project execution.
• Conduct site visits when required to verify measurements and gather project information.
• Assist in preparing material take-offs and project documentation.
• Ensure timely submission of drawings to meet project schedules.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Drafting, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Draughtsman in the construction industry.
• Experience in building construction, infrastructure, industrial, or commercial projects is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Knowledge of Revit, BIM, Civil 3D, or other drafting software is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering drawings, and technical standards.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Good knowledge of UAE construction regulations and practices is preferred.
