Job description
As Global Strategic Sourcing Manager for Marketing, you'll own the sourcing strategies for a significant global marketing spend portfolio, with a primary focus on Creative and Production categories across JDE Peet’s global brand portfolio. Reporting to the Global Strategic Sourcing Director Indirect, you'll develop and execute robust sourcing strategies while building strong supplier partnerships that enable marketing excellence, innovation, agility, and value creation across the organisation.
This is a role for someone with sharp commercial instincts, deep understanding of the advertising ecosystem, and strong expertise across creative, content production, and agency operating models. You will operate in a highly dynamic global matrix environment where strategic thinking, influence, and commercial impact are critical.
We are looking for a highly experienced procurement leader with strong marketing industry intelligence and a deep understanding of the global agency and production landscape, including creative agencies, production companies, digital content partners, influencer ecosystems, and emerging AI-enabled creative models. The successful candidate combines procurement excellence with strong marketing acumen and the ability to translate industry trends, agency economics, and evolving marketing models into competitive sourcing strategies and impactful negotiation outcomes.
What you'll be doing:

Develop and execute robust global sourcing strategies for Creative and Production categories, delivering cost savings, value creation, operational efficiency, and risk management across the marketing ecosystem

Lead strategic category planning across key marketing spend areas including creative agencies, integrated campaigns, digital content production, social content, adaptation and transcreation, ecommerce content, influencer production, and studio models

Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, driving continuous improvement and positioning JDE as a customer of choice across the global marketing supplier ecosystem

Act as a trusted advisor to senior Marketing, Brand, Procurement, and Finance stakeholders by bringing strong external market insights, agency intelligence, benchmarking, commercial innovation, and negotiation strategies

Identify productivity opportunities while balancing creativity, quality, innovation, speed-to-market, and business impact

Monitor advertising industry trends, evolving agency models, AI-driven creative transformation, and emerging supplier capabilities to proactively shape sourcing strategies

Collaborate closely with Media and Marketing Technology procurement teams to support integrated marketing and connected ecosystem decisions

Ensure compliance, risk management, and continuous delivery against procurement and business targets

6+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience across Marketing, Creative, Production, or Agency categories in a global environment

Strong knowledge of the advertising ecosystem, including agency operating models, production economics, scopes of work, and commercial frameworks

Proven experience negotiating complex agreements with global creative agencies, production companies, and marketing suppliers

Strong track record delivering cost and value results in a complex, fast-paced international environment

Experience developing category strategies

Excellent negotiation, supplier and project management, stakeholder influencing, and communication skills

Strong commercial mindset combined with curiosity about advertising innovation, digital transformation, and AI-enabled marketing models

Comfortable operating in ambiguous and dynamic environments with high expectations and multiple priorities

Degree level education; MBA or further qualification preferred
