Job description

To support the Branch in complying in Customs and any other government agencies’ regulations

  • Minimum tertiary education with 3 to 5 years’ relevant air freight operations experience.

  • Have good attention to details

  1. Good working knowledge in computer software applications including email, Microsoft Excel and Words

  2. Good interpersonal, communication in both spoken and written, and problem-solving skills

  3. Fluent in written and spoken English

  4. Knowledge of Singapore Customs local rules and regulations and must complete Singapore Customs test

  5. Knowledge of related Competent Authorities regulations

  6. Knowledge of using SIN Customs TradeNet system and our systems for Customs in order to be able to declare with accuracy in customs entry declarations

  7. Able to declare all different customs entry declarations / permit types

 

Key Accountabilities

  1. Declare all different types of shipping permits.

  2. Applying Ordinary and Preferential Certification of Origin.

  3. Coordinate with the respective departments on supporting documents required. Ensuring all documents are in accordance and timeline to provide approved customs entry declarations with help of pre-customs entry, checklist, Asia Customs Standard operating procedures and pre-alert database.

  4. Attend to customs enquiries and secure the permit approval.

  5. To monitor and ensure all Cargo Manifest Declarations reports are submitted timely to Singapore Customs for both Import and Export permits transactions.

  6. Creating file and preparing billing invoice. To ensure data accurate and timely billing to customers.

  7. Generating essential customers’ or others reports as required. 

  8. Updating Asia Customs SOP with customers’ requirements and expectations.

  9. Adhering compliance to Expeditors policy and expectations.

  10. Maintain Branch procedure on customs entry declarations.

  11. Key Performance Indicators are met within customers’ requirements and fulfillment Singapore Customs / Competent Authorities rules and regulations.

  12. Performing internal audit for customs filling.

Working Hours :

5 days work week with rotating shift

1) 8:30 - 18:00 hrs

2) 12:00 - 21:30 hrs

3 14:00 - 23:30 hrs
