Job description
For our team in Nijmegen, we are looking for a Lead QC Analyst. In this role, you will combine analytical laboratory work with the coordination of day-to-day QC activities.
You will work within the Quality Control team and collaborate with colleagues from Manufacturing, Quality, Compliance, and other departments. In addition to performing QC activities, you will coordinate priorities, monitor progress, and follow up on actions within the team.
This is a full-time, on-site position that requires flexibility to occasionally work evening shifts.
Tasks and Responsibilities:

Perform analytical testing, including HPLC, pH measurements, Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC), bioburden testing, and Particle Distribution Analysis (PDA).

Conduct, interpret, and report NMR analyses.

Perform maintenance and calibration of HPLC equipment and other laboratory instruments.

Maintain a clean, organized, and controlled laboratory environment.

Inspect and verify labels and incoming goods against specifications and quality requirements.

Document, review, and report test results in accordance with approved procedures and applicable guidelines.

Coordinate day-to-day QC activities and align priorities, timelines, and responsibilities within the team.

Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure that activities, expectations, and deadlines are aligned.

Conduct review meetings with team members to discuss progress, results, workload, issues, and follow-up actions.

Monitor KPIs and other relevant metrics to identify delays, capacity issues, recurring problems, or deviations from agreed targets.

Follow up on agreed actions and escalate issues when necessary.

Identify and implement improvements in laboratory processes and ways of working.

Support team members with technical or operational questions related to QC activities.

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
-
At least 2–3 years of experience in Quality or Quality Control.

Experience coordinating QC activities or supporting the daily work of a laboratory team.

Experience with NMR, preferably involving polymers.

Experience with HPLC.

Experience conducting review meetings and following up on agreed actions.

Experience monitoring KPIs, workload, timelines, or other performance metrics.

Ability to coordinate priorities with stakeholders from different departments.

Experience in a pharmaceutical environment and knowledge of GxP are preferred.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evening shifts.

Fluency in spoken and written English.
