Project Engineer (m/f/d)

Nordson Industrial Coating Systems, a global leader in leader in industrial coating systems, is seeking a highly motivated and talented Project Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team in Erkrath, Germany. Summary of the role

In this role, you will lead the execution of complex, engineered coating system projects, acting as the key technical interface between customers and internal teams. You will ensure delivery of high-quality solutions in industrial finishing (powder coating systems), managing projects from order intake through to commissioning.

Role and Responsibilities

Lead full project lifecycle execution (engineering - delivery - commissioning)

Translate customer requirements into technical solutions and system designs

Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, production, supply chain, service)

Manage project timelines, budgets, and risks

Act as primary technical contact for customers

Support FAT/SAT, installation, and commissioning activities

Ensure compliance with EU standards (CE, safety, environmental regulations)

Skills and Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering

3-5+ years of experience in project engineering or industrial systems

Strong background in industrial equipment, automation, or coating systems

Experience managing complex, customer-driven projects

Proficiency with CAD tools and engineering documentation

Fluent in German and English; additional European languages are a plus

Travel

Willingness to travel across Europe (~10%)
