Developer role

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with in-depth experience in Medusa.js, Next.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in eCommerce development, CMS integrations, and must have worked on at least 2 to 3 eCommerce projects. 

This role is based in Dubai and suited for professionals with 3 to 5+ years of experience, ideally in Agile environments.

Role purpose

• Develop visually appealing front end website architecture, including translating designer mock-ups and wireframes into front-end code
• Develop functional databases, applications, and servers to support websites on the back end
• Ensure cross-platform optimisation for mobile
• Develop and design RESTful services and APIs
• Ensure that non-functional requirements such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability are being considered when architecting solutions
• Keep job knowledge up-to-date by studying new development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal and professional networks; participating in professional organisations
• Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management, and Governance of Organisations policies, procedures, plans, and related risk assessments

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Medusa.js (must-have)
• Proficiency in TypeScript / Node.js
• Experience with PostgreSQL and 3rd party APIs
• Background in headless commerce systems and payment integrations
• Designs and builds bespoke, headless eCommerce platforms
• Strong backend expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to customise the Medusa server, alongside frontend mastery in React/Next.js

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Building and extending Medusa server services, event queues, and custom API endpoints
• Frontend & UI Creation: Developing responsive, high-performance checkout and customer portal UIs using React or Next.js
• Integrations: Connecting the platform with third-party APIs like ERPs, CMS, etc…
• System Architecture: Designing scalable systems, optimising SQL databases, and setting up CI/CD pipelines
• Core Languages: TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL
• Frameworks: Medusa.js, React, Next.js, or Vue.js
• Databases & Cloud: PostgreSQL, Redis, and cloud providers (AWS, etc…)
• Tools: Docker, Git, REST/GraphQL

Typical Requirements

• 3 to 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience, with at least 1-2 years specifically handling headless commerce architectures
• Experience building and maintaining complex eCommerce features (e.g., custom B2B bulk pricing, multi-currency orchestration)
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration in Agile environments
