Systems Architect - MBSE

The Role

We are seeking a Systems Architect, MBSE to join a pioneering aerospace programme based in Dubai. This is an opportunity to establish the Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) architecture that will underpin the development of a next generation aircraft platform and integrated sovereign mission system.

Working alongside Chief Engineers and multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will define the SysML architecture, modelling standards and governance that support engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle. You will translate high level system decisions into scalable, well governed models that enable efficient development, integration and certification.

Key Responsibilities:

Define the overall MBSE architecture and modelling framework.

Develop Level 1 and Level 2 SysML architecture models.

Establish modelling standards, governance and best practices.

Create operational architectures and functional decompositions.

Define interface modelling strategies across complex systems.

Support systems engineering activities from concept through certification.

Collaborate closely with Chief Engineers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Ensure model consistency, scalability and traceability throughout the programme.

Support the implementation and continuous improvement of MBSE toolchains.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced Systems Architect with extensive knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering and SysML within complex aerospace or similarly regulated engineering environments.

Essential Requirements:

Significant experience leading MBSE architecture on complex engineering programmes.

Advanced knowledge of SysML and MBSE methodologies.

Experience defining model structures, viewpoints and governance frameworks.

Strong systems engineering background.

Experience translating complex system architectures into scalable engineering models.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience within aerospace, defence or similarly safety critical industries.

Experience with SysML profile customisation.

Experience implementing MBSE toolchains.

Knowledge of aircraft certification or regulated product development.
