Job Description:

Role Overview 

We are seeking a hands-on Assistant Production Manager to oversee daily operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, driving team performance, and maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality. 

You will lead a production team, monitor output, and play a key role in implementing operational improvements while ensuring alignment with company standards and objectives. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Supervise day-to-day production activities and monitor team productivity 

Lead shift meetings, track progress, and take action to address delays or issues 

Implement production plans, performance targets, and continuous improvement initiatives 

Ensure team members understand their roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations 

Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous development 

Enforce compliance with safety regulations, policies, and procedures 

Plan and adjust work schedules to support efficient operations 

Maintain working knowledge of production processes and equipment 

Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, escalating complex problems when required 

Support broader business objectives and contribute to overall operational performance 

 

Experience and Education 

Proven track record in a manufacturing environment supervising production quality and continuity  

Prior experience in a supervisory or team leadership role 

Six-Sigma Green Belt certificate is considered a plus 

 

Skills and Knowledge 

Strong understanding of production operations and manufacturing processes 

Proven leadership and team management capabilities 

Effective verbal and written communication skills 

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 

Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office or related tools
