Job SummaryThe Junior Civil Quantity Surveyor assists the Quantity Surveying team in cost estimation, quantity take-offs, subcontractor management, billing, and cost control for civil construction projects.The role provides support throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications. Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ). Support cost estimation and tender preparation. Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications. Assist in preparing subcontract enquiries and bid comparisons. Prepare material quantity schedules. Assist in preparing interim payment applications and client invoices. Verify subcontractor payment applications. Monitor project costs against budgets. Maintain variation order records and assist in preparing variation claims. Coordinate with site engineers for work progress and quantity verification. Assist in preparing monthly cost reports. Maintain proper documentation of contracts, correspondence, and project records. Support procurement by preparing quantity requirements. Attend site visits for quantity verification and progress monitoring. Ensure compliance with contract conditions and project specifications. Perform other duties assigned by the Senior QS or Commercial Manager.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying. 0–2 years of experience in Quantity Surveying (Fresh graduates may apply). Knowledge of construction drawings and BOQs. Basic understanding of measurement standards. Familiarity with FIDIC contracts is an advantage. UAE experience is an added advantage but not mandatory.
