Why This Role Matters
Griffith Foods Europe is currently seeking a talented Senior Food Technologist to support the evolving needs of our team in Münster (Germany).
The purpose of the role is together with the business development team to drive growth by developing profitable, high-quality, nutritious, and sustainable products and solutions tailored to selected customers.
These solutions must be both internally and externally processable while adhering to the highest standards of food quality and safety.
Your Key Responsibilities
Develop winning products for the meat, poultry and alternative protein industry and support the scaling up of it to our targeted customers.
Act as the technical contact for our customers in Germany, when required.
Support presentations, organize and execute workshops and train the customer by showing our products in applications & marketable formats, in cooperation with sales and marketing.
Conduct raw material evaluations and support optimization of the raw material database.
What We Are Looking For
Master / Bachelor’s in Food Science or Food Technology or equivalent by proven experience in the food industry.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in food product development, preferably in development of flavor systems for protein substate (functional and/or non-functional seasonings) and end-to-end product development, including formulation, application, and industrial scale-up.
Experience in meat, protein processing, or alternative proteins is considered a plus.
Language skills: fluent in English and German.
Project Management skills
Experience in development and application of seasonings is a plus.
Passionate about food and customer focus.
Strong team player and able to work independently on product development projects.
Creative, hands-on, accurate, and well-organized.
Flexible in willing to travel within Europe to support our customers
Compensation
The starting base salary for this position is 59.200€ fix gross per year.
