Electrical Engineer – MEP / Pump Station Projects
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team for MEP projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design review, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems while ensuring compliance with project specifications, authority requirements, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Prepare method statements, material submittals, and technical documentation.
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and project requirements.
- Resolve technical issues and provide engineering support during project execution.
- Coordinate inspections with consultants and relevant authorities.
- Prepare as-built drawings and project close-out documentation.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, project specifications, and applicable electrical standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in MEP, pump station, water, wastewater, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of LV/MV electrical systems, MCCs, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, control panels, VFDs, and lighting systems.
- Experience with testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
- Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, and instrumentation systems is an advantage.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and electrical design software.
- Strong understanding of UAE authority requirements and international electrical standards.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- UAE driving license is an advantage.
Preferred Experience:
- Pump Stations, Water Distribution, Wastewater, Utility, or Infrastructure Projects.
- Experience working on projects for TAQA, ADDC, AADC, DEWA, SEWA, FEWA, or ADNOC is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of testing and commissioning procedures for utility and industrial facilities.
