About SkyGeo 

We help engineers working within organizations of all sizes, to understand millimeter-scale InSAR deformation patterns for assessing geological and geotechnical risk, earlier and more efficiently.

Your Role & Impact 

We are looking for a hydrologist, geohydrologist or hydrogeologist who will find new ways to implement and integrate our InSAR data into engineering practices for all of our users. You will be discovering new ways to make enormous impact across a variety of projects and industries. You will be expected to draw on your keen technical and communication abilities as you discuss specific solutions, and configure our products and services for demanding technical users.

You will integrate InSAR surface motion observations with different types of remote and on-site data. Coordinate with technical end-users to drive insight into stability assessments. You will work closely with the customers… and with a highly motivated team of our own Engineers, Consultants and Developers.

Undertake impact assessments of groundwater abstraction and management activities as evidenced by our InSAR data

Configure, understand and optimize our data feed in the context of specific projects to create hydrological insights for customers;

Provide technical advice to customers and project team members while building effective relationships;

Work with technical domain experts at customers;

Interact with your InSAR engineering colleagues to provide data specifically for geohydrological diagnostics;

Draw compelling visualizations (animations, graphs, cross-sections, maps, …)

Routinely write briefs and reports

Put together short courses about applications of your work as part of SkyGeo Academy

Rapidly learn about new technologies, the possibilities of InSAR and related data for mapping onto stability issues and displacement modes

Requirements: What you’ll bring to the team

MSc or PhD in geohydrology, geology or hydrology

At least 5 years working experience in relevant projects

Extensive experience with project teamwork in complex engineering system

Proven forensic approach using all available data sources

Experience authoring compelling written reports and visualizations (animations, graphs, cross-sections, maps)

Work accurately in collaboration with customers’ technical users; sweat the details in excellent communications

Team builder in a technical project environment
