Job description

End-to-End Ownership: You take ownership of a real, end-to-end project, from understanding operational needs to delivering a standardized, scalable alerting framework.

Stakeholder Needs: You engage with different teams to identify critical monitoring requirements and analyzing which events truly require alerting versus noise reduction.

Grafana Alerting: You build and configure alerts in Grafana based on data from PostgreSQL, defining thresholds, triggers, and escalation logic.

Cross-Team Alignment: You collaborate across facilities and backbone teams to drive consistency and harmonization of monitoring approaches.

Alert Communication: You create and organize Microsoft Teams alert channels aligned with the right audience and ensure alerts reach the appropriate stakeholders at the right time.

Standardization: You develop consistent naming conventions and alert phrasing, ensuring clarity, usability, and actionable messaging.

Data & Queries: You write and optimize SQL queries for alerting logic and work with data pipelines feeding Grafana dashboards.

Requirements:

Educational Background: You are pursuing or have recently completed (within the last year) a BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT, or a related field.

Technical Foundation: You have basic knowledge of SQL and data analysis and are highly interested in observability, monitoring, or infrastructure systems.

Collaboration & Communication: You have good communication skills and are comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.

Adaptability & Creativity: You demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and creativity, especially when working with unknown or incomplete information.

Working Style & Ownership: You are reliable, performance-driven, maintain a structured way of working, and are proactive in driving topics independently.

Teamwork & Independence: You thrive in fast-paced team environments and are equally effective when working independently.

Language Skills: You are fluent in English; German is an advantage.

Availability: You are available for a full-time 6-month internship, ideally starting in September 2026.

Our promise: At Climeworks, you are accepted for who you are, and we are committed to building an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued.
