AI Strategy & Planning Intern

As an AI Strategy & Planning Intern, you'll be at the forefront of NCS's AI transformation journey. You'll contribute to shaping how NCS leverages artificial intelligence to deliver value to our clients and enhance our internal capabilities.

Key Projects Include:

• AI Adoption Roadmap Development: Support the creation of strategic roadmaps for AI implementation across different business units, helping NCS stay ahead in the technology services landscape

• Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Analyse emerging AI trends, technologies, and use cases to identify opportunities for NCS and our clients

• AI Use Case Identification: Work with cross-functional teams to discover and evaluate potential AI applications that solve real business challenges

• Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in preparing presentations and materials for leadership discussions on AI strategy and initiatives

• AI Governance Framework: Contribute to developing responsible AI practices aligned with NCS's AI principles

This internship offers a unique opportunity to influence how a leading technology services firm integrates AI into its core operations and client solutions.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Analysis 

• Conduct research on AI technologies, industry trends, and best practices

• Analyse data to support strategic decision-making for AI initiatives

• Assist in developing business cases and ROI models for AI projects

• Support the creation of strategic planning documents and presentations

Stakeholder Collaboration 

• Coordinate with business units (Apps, Infra, Engg, Cyber) to understand AI needs and opportunities

• Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to gather requirements

• Communicate with partners and alliances to explore AI collaboration opportunities

• Support internal communications about AI strategy and initiatives

Documentation & Reporting 

• Prepare reports, dashboards, and visualisations to track AI initiative progress

• Document AI use cases, lessons learned, and best practices

• Maintain knowledge repositories for AI-related information

• Create clear, concise summaries for leadership review

Innovation & Learning 

• Stay updated on the latest AI developments and their potential applications

• Participate in AI-related training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities

• Contribute ideas for innovative AI solutions that benefit NCS and our clients

• Support proof-of-concept initiatives and pilot projects

What you will learn:

• Gain hands-on experience in strategic planning and technology roadmapping

• Develop understanding of AI technologies and their business applications

• Build skills in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration

• Learn how to translate technical concepts into business value

• Experience working in a leading technology services firm environment

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts (machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision)

• Familiarity with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar)

• Comfortable with research and synthesising information from multiple sources

• Basic knowledge of project management principles

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

• Strong analytical thinking: Ability to break down complex problems and identify patterns

• Excellent communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders

• Curiosity and initiative: Proactive in learning and exploring new technologies

• Collaboration: Works well in teams and across different departments

• Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment

• Attention to detail: Thorough in research, analysis, and documentation

• Business acumen: Interest in understanding how technology creates business value

• Coursework or projects related to AI, data science, business strategy, or technology management has an added advantage

• Experience with Python or R for data analysis (beneficial but not required)

• Exposure to strategic planning frameworks and methodologies
