Lead Data Scientist - Risk

What You Will Do

End-to-End ML Development: Lead the design, training, and deployment of machine learning models leveraging the Python, PyTorch, and HuggingFace ecosystem.

Systems Optimization: Maintain and troubleshoot high-scale production ML environments, ensuring reliability across systems processing hundreds of millions of transactions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with team members and key stakeholders to align technical execution with strategic business objectives and measurable impact. What You Will Need

Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills

Solid understanding of Statistics/ML fundamentals and demonstrated experience in Python

Experience building and deploying deep neural network models in a production setting

A very good understanding of ML system design, and the issues faced when scaling ML systems and integrating them with other software systems

Very good communication skills, and the ability to write clear and concise technical documentation

Ph.D. or Masters in a quantitative discipline, with 7+ years of relevant experience. About The Team:  The Common Capabilties team is part of the broader Risk Data Science team at GoTo. We are responsible for building ML solutions which other teams within Risk DS can use to improve their problem statement specific models. We are a small team with a diverse background in science and engineering, and our mission is to take fairly cutting edge ML and adapt it to our business problems to create value. We care about bringing innovative and using cutting edge ML to fruition, rather than taking template solutions and fitting them to the problem. The team is currently working on transformer and post-transformer neural network architectures.
