Job description

Lead testing & commissioning (T&C) activities for 132 kV / 33 kV / 11 kV substations

Review and approve T&C procedures, method statements, and checklists

Coordinate with ADNOC, consultants, OEMs, and contractors during commissioning phases

Supervise testing of:

Power transformers

  • Lead and supervise testing and commissioning activities for electrical systems in offshore platforms and substations.

  • Plan and execute pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities for electrical equipment.

  • Perform testing and commissioning of transformers, generators, switchgear, MCCs, UPS systems, and power distribution systems up to 1320 kVA.

  • Manage commissioning of substation equipment including transformers, protection relays, switchgear, and control systems.

  • Prepare and review commissioning procedures, method statements, and test reports.

  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, vendors, and client teams to ensure smooth commissioning activities.

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and client requirements.

  • Lead troubleshooting and fault analysis during commissioning.

  • Monitor commissioning progress and ensure timely completion of activities.

  • Supervise commissioning engineers and technicians at site.

achelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

Minimum 10–15 years experience in HV substations, including 132 kV

Proven experience working on ADNOC or major Oil & Gas projects

Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, ADNOC standards

Hands-on experience with protection relays (Siemens, ABB, Schneider, GE, SEL)

Excellent coordination, leadership, and communication skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Minimum 12–15 years of experience in Electrical Testing & Commissioning in Oil & Gas / Substation projects.

  • Mandatory offshore project experience.

  • Strong experience in substation commissioning and electrical systems up to 1320 kVA.

  • Familiarity with international standards and safety regulations related to electrical testing and commissioning.

  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
