Senior Performance Tester

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Performance Tester to design, develop, execute, and analyze performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in performance testing tools, monitoring solutions, scripting, and root cause analysis, preferably within the banking or financial services domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute performance testing strategies for web, mobile, API, and enterprise applications.
• Develop and maintain reusable performance test scripts.
• Conduct Load, Stress, Spike, Endurance (Soak), and Volume testing.
• Analyze application performance bottlenecks and provide optimization recommendations.
• Monitor application servers, databases, middleware, and infrastructure during performance tests.
• Prepare performance test plans, scenarios, workload models, and execution reports.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues.
• Validate application scalability, stability, and reliability before production deployment.
• Participate in performance tuning of applications, databases, and APIs.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide regular status updates and detailed performance analysis reports.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with performance testing tools such as:
• Apache JMeter
• LoadRunner
• NeoLoad
• Gatling (preferred)
• Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs.
• Strong SQL knowledge for backend validation.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as:
• Dynatrace
• AppDynamics
• Grafana
• Prometheus
• Splunk
• Knowledge of JVM, GC logs, Thread Dumps, Heap Analysis, and CPU/Memory utilization.
• Experience with Linux/Unix commands and shell scripting.
• Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, SSL, Web Services, and Microservices architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes environments is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Performance testing certifications (LoadRunner, JMeter, or similar) are an added advantage.

Preferred Experience

• 6–10+ years of software testing experience.
• At least 4–5 years of hands-on experience in performance testing.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Banking or financial services experience is highly preferred.
