Embedded Security Engineer (Qualcomm IQ9)

The Embedded Security Engineer will play a key part in ensuring the integrity and protection of next-generation embedded systems, working at the intersection of hardware and firmware to support the company’s mission of delivering robust, secure products for a global market.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement secure boot processes and Root of Trust for embedded systems
• Execute fuse burning (eFuse/OTP) procedures using Qualcomm tools
• Enable and maintain AES-256 full disk encryption and secure partitioning on devices
• Support firmware bring-up and low-level system initialization activities
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to design and integrate secure system architectures
• Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues during system development and testing
• Document security features, processes, and implementation details for internal teams

Required Skills

• Embedded systems development and low-level firmware expertise
• Secure boot implementation and key provisioning
• Hardware-backed security, including Root of Trust
• Fuse programming (eFuse/OTP) using Qualcomm tools
• AES-256 disk encryption and secure partitioning
• Experience with Qualcomm SoCs, especially IQ series
• Bootloader development and troubleshooting
• Linux and Android embedded system familiarity
• Collaboration with hardware and software engineering teams
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in embedded environments
