Resident Engineer

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Resident Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to lead and manage the construction supervision and delivery of cycle track and active mobility infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with project requirements, quality standards, safety regulations and stakeholder expectations.What You'll Be Doing:* Oversee all construction activities for active mobility infrastructure works.

• Lead and coordinate the site supervision team to ensure effective project delivery.
• Manage and lead the site supervision team, ensuring effective coordination and successful project delivery.
• Monitor project progress, quality, safety, and schedule performance to ensure achievement of project objectives.
• Review and approve contractor submittals, including shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and work plans.
• Ensure compliance with contract specifications, design requirements, local authority regulations, and applicable standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship quality and adherence to approved construction practices.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, utility agencies, and relevant stakeholders to resolve technical and construction-related issues.
• Review and certify contractor invoices, variation orders, claims, and other contractual matters.
• Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures to minimize impacts on cost, quality, and schedule.
• Prepare progress reports, technical assessments, and project status updates for client and management review.
• Support the implementation of health, safety, environmental, and sustainability requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure successful project closeout, handover, and completion in accordance with contractual obligations.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• Minimum 15 years relevant construction supervision/field engineering experience.
• Proven experience as a Resident Engineer in cycle tracks, pedestrian infrastructure, roads or active mobility projects is preferred.
• ADM/DMT certified engineer approval.
• Strong knowledge of construction supervision, contract administration and quality control.
• Proficiency with CAD and common engineering/construction software; strong communication skills
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:* Experience delivering cycle track and active mobility projects in the UAE or GCC region.

• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi/UAE authority standards, regulations, and approval processes.
• Knowledge of sustainable transportation, road safety, complete streets, and urban mobility principles.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders in complex urban environments.
• Professional Engineering registration or equivalent certification.
