Laboratory Technician

ViswaLab is a pioneer in marine fuel oil testing. We are currently looking for a candidate to join our team for fuel oil testing analysts.

Job Description & Requirements

· Conduct laboratory operations in designated areas and report any malfunction, abnormality

· Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous waste as defined in the Hazardous Waste Plan

· Check equipment readiness for assigned test method, carry out QC test as needed and enter result in the SQC system.

· Homogenize sample and subdivide for various test benches

· Carry out routine testing of assigned bench

· Data entry of test results in datasheet or in VLIMS

· Ensure all Safety and Health policies, test procedures are followed while carrying out test

· Make request for solvent, chemical top up, retrieval of sample from storage through Sample Management System

· Prepare and number test tubes, test jars required for the tests

· Oversee sample homogenization process

· Any other ad hoc duties

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Chemistry or related field
• Responsible and able to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Training will be provided
• Should be able to work in the night shift

Working Hours: 5.00pm to 2.00am (Monday to Friday)

Allowance: Taxi allowance, shift allowance given

Pay: $2,200.00 - $2,500.00 per month
