Founding Engineer

Founding Engineer — First engineering hire building the OS for a new generation of ambulatory surgery centres. Berlin, on-site. Up to 60% of inpatient cases in Germany could be treated in an outpatient setting — at lower cost and often with equal or better outcomes. A well-backed team of serial founders is building the software-driven infrastructure to make that the new default, with an ambition of 1M+ outpatient surgeries per year through their operated centres.

As the first engineering hire, you take technical ownership of the core platform — an orchestration engine that sits on top of existing clinic stacks and coordinates the entire care pathway end to end: patient intake, surgery, recovery, and daily operations. Greenfield. Built to work reliably when a surgeon is standing in the operating room. Built to scale across 100+ clinics.

What We’re Looking For → Production systems built and operated with meaningful usage

→ Strong full-stack skills and architectural judgment that outlasts the next sprint

→ Ability to turn complex, real-world requirements into working software

→ High ownership, reliability, and a bias toward shipping with fast feedback loops

→ Structured thinking and comfort working with non-technical stakeholders

→ Based in Berlin, on-site

Bonus: hands-on AI/ML experience, regulated environment or healthcare background
