Mid Office Operations Analyst – Multi-Asset Investments

The Role

The Mid Office Operations Analyst will support the investment team in managing and overseeing multi-asset portfolios across public and private markets. The role focuses on portfolio operations, reporting, governance, system enhancement, and analytical support to ensure data integrity, operational efficiency, and effective investment decision-making.

1. Bloomberg & Portfolio Operations Management

• Co-ownership of Bloomberg portfolio management and data management processes.

• Manage portfolio uploads and maintenance across portfolio systems.

• Perform monthly portfolio reconciliations.

• Maintain equity trackers, investment exposure trackers, and performance monitoring tools.

• Support MREP, Equity Trackers and other public portfolio tracking processes.

• Develop and maintain investment dashboards and management information systems.

• Produce macroeconomic and market monitoring views for investment teams.

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of portfolio data across all systems.

2. Investment Portfolio Reporting

• Prepare periodic investment reports for internal stakeholders and management.

• Produce portfolio performance, attribution, exposure, and risk reporting.

• Coordinate reporting requirements across asset classes.

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting activities.

• Enhance reporting processes through automation and standardization.

• Manage ad-hoc reporting requests from investment and management teams.

3. Change Management & Technology Enablement

• Source and support implementation of new portfolio management systems.

• Participate in system upgrades, testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Evaluate AI tools and software solutions to improve operational efficiency.

• Document business requirements and operational workflows.

• Work with vendors and internal stakeholders during implementation projects.

• Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual processes and operational risk.

4. Finance Governance & Controls

• Monitor operational controls and governance frameworks.

• Maintain proper documentation for investment products and transactions.

• Ensure investment data consistency across finance and investment systems.

• Support NAV reviews, valuation checks, and transaction validation processes.

• Identify and escalate operational risks and control gaps.

5. Investment & Operational Analysis

• Assist in portfolio analysis across multiple asset classes.

• Review and analyse bank charges, custody fees, and transaction costs.

• Support investment teams with portfolio analytics and insights.

• Prepare ad-hoc analysis on portfolio performance, exposures, and trends.

• Assist with benchmarking and peer comparisons for Funds and Bank managed Discretionary Mandates.
