The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for processing shipments in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring operational excellence, high efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Sorting, packing, loading, and unloading freight and managing shortages/damages with a CDR report prepared. Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trucks
• Pull and stage outbound goods using loading manifest
• Check in/load out domestic and international freight
• Put freight away in designated areas
• Drive sits down forklift (electrical or propane) in a safe and efficient manner
• Re-weigh freight / cargo as directed; basic math skills required
• Maintain a clean work environment and follow safety policies
• Able to use a computer and the main software packages competently
• All other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as the business demands deem necessary
• Execute all Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (as applicable)
• Contribute actively to a healthy and secure work environment by reporting unsafe/unsecure/unhealthy conditions and possible improvements

Qualifications:

• Literacy and numeracy
• Previous warehouse experience
• Knowledge of air freight regulations desirable
• Reach / counterbalance truck experience/certification required
• Detail oriented and thorough, and able to work in a fast pace, high volume environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Work effectively as part of a team
• Manual handling skills
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Basic administration skills
• Able to use a computer and the main software packages completely
• Able to operate and control equipment
• Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated
• Patient and able to remain calm in stressful / high pressure situations
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job
• VGB security clearance (or the ability to obtain it) is required for this position
