What The Role Is Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in the charity sector? Join our team as a Sector Regulation Officer, where you will be at the forefront of ensuring that charities and Institutions of a Public Character (IPCs) operate with integrity, transparency, and accountability.
What You Will Be Working On In this dynamic role, you will:
1. Champion Compliance & Good Governance:
Oversee the registration and ongoing compliance of charities and IPCs. This includes reviewing applications and addressing policy, regulatory and operational issues.
2. Safeguard Public Trust:
Investigate possible non-compliance or misconduct by charities/fundraisers and assist in enforcement actions.
3. Innovate & Improve:
Explore and develop new approaches/work processes and see through their implementation.
What We Are Looking For Experiences:
At least 2 years of working experience in compliance, regulatory or enforcement work.
Competencies:
- Comfortable reading financial statements and conducting basic financial analysis.
- Preferably have a background in Accountancy/Business Administration.
- Basic knowledge of legal and accounting principles will be an added advantage.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Enjoy working with different stakeholders to build collaborative relationships.
- Able to analyze complex issues while thinking creatively and planning strategically.
- Able to work independently and meticulously, exercise initiative and be a good team player.
