Tasks

Our client is looking for a Senior Buyer to support the successful delivery of offshore projects by sourcing and procuring critical equipment, materials, and services. In this role, you will lead supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract execution while ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets are achieved.

Working closely with Project Management, Engineering, and key suppliers, you will play a vital role in securing the best commercial outcomes and supporting project success.

Job Description

• Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services for offshore projects and operations.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project requirements, schedules, and budgets.
• Lead supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract execution for assigned packages.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, delivery, and cost performance.
• Identify and mitigate procurement risks while securing the best commercial value for the business.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve commercial or supply chain issues when required.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, and Category Management teams to support successful project delivery.
• Mentor and support Buyers within the procurement team.

Job requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of procurement experience within the Oil & Gas, Offshore, Energy, or EPC industry.
• Proven experience procuring mechanical equipment and project-related packages.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
• Solid commercial and analytical mindset with the ability to manage procurement risks and opportunities.
• Experience working in a project-driven international environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
