Job Description For our Nootdorp HQ office we are looking for a Senior IT Systems Administrator. Within this position, you are the public face of Operational Technology (OT) Services. You provide end users with IT support to facilitate Fugro’s vessels, field operations, remote operations and processing of data collected during those operations. You actively promote standards for IT infrastructure and services and best practices used for support. You have a good understanding of the needs of the Fugro business stakeholders and the challenges faced by end users in the field. You proactively identify areas of improvement regarding the support process and tools, and you propose solutions to management. Are you energized by helping people and solving problems? Your role

• You act as 2nd line escalation point for Support Assistants and Administrators;
• You liaise with OT Services Deployment Teams to support deployment of standard infrastructure and systems and ensure sufficient information is provided to ensure ease of support once systems are in operation. You also liaise with the OT Services Architecture Team to support implementation of infrastructure, systems updates and roll out of new standards and policies;
• You monitor systems and handle alerts according to procedures. You also monitor the status of open tickets and provide weekly reporting on outstanding tickets to the responsible parties;
• You implement standard solutions and complete standard tasks according to the instructions;
• You complete periodic system maintenance tasks and report on these while including system patching, backup and standard restore tasks;
• You coordinate purchasing and logistics in support of hardware maintenance and in response to monitoring alerts. You also coordinate the roll out of systems updates and of new standards when required;
• You support cyber security initiatives, directly respond to cyber issues reported by field personnel and escalate where necessary in accordance with defined procedures;
• You co-ordinate support activities with external vendors where necessary;
• You create IT infrastructure and systems support related work instruction documentation when required.

Your track record

• You have a secondary vocational education (MBO level 4) degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field;
• You have at least 5 years of experience with good understanding of IT service management process (ITIL) and ITSM tools. You also have broad technical knowledge on both desktop and server infrastructure and Enterprise applications. Technical knowledge across multiple platforms (Windows, Linux);
• You have the ability to observe , think critically and solve problems using appropriate data analysis, interpretation and reasoning skills;
• You communicate well and can collaborate across functions;
• You are able to generate written instructions and support documentation;
• You have excellent English language skills, both written and oral.
