Job description

Salt is hiring an ‘ Accountant’ who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about statutory compliance , accounting operations, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing statutory financial reporting across APAC entities, coordinating external audits, supporting tax compliance, overseeing vendor relationships, and driving operational excellence through process transformation initiatives.

This is a contract role based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage statutory financial statement compliance for a portfolio of APAC entities, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Coordinate statutory audits and act as the primary liaison with external auditors.
  • Partner with Tax teams to support corporate income tax and indirect tax compliance.
  • Prepare and review tax-related balance sheet reconciliations as part of monthly and quarterly US GAAP close activities.
  • Manage relationships with outsourced service providers, ensuring quality delivery and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Lead process improvement and transformation initiatives to enhance statutory compliance and accounting operations.
  • Track project milestones, risks, and deliverables while coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders.
  • Administer vendor contracts, purchase orders, billing processes, and contract lifecycle activities.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Procurement, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of projects and operational objectives.
  • Maintain project documentation, provide status updates, and support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in statutory accounting, financial reporting, audit, or finance operations within a multinational corporation or Big Four environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Experience managing statutory audits, financial reporting, and tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Experience with process improvement, finance transformation, or systems implementation initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-changing environment.
