Technical Engineer (Civil/Architectural) - Real Estate

The Role

• Review and assess shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for civil and architectural works.
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with approved IFC drawings, project specifications, and UAE authority regulations.
• Review and respond to RFIs and Technical Queries (TQs), and assist in resolving design and construction issues.
• Prepare technical reports, inspection reports, review logs, NCR/SOR logs, and weekly progress updates.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and track outstanding technical and quality-related items.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
• Support weekly technical coordination meetings and conduct regular site inspections across Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
• Identify quality concerns, technical risks, and non-compliance issues, and escalate them to the Technical Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in technical review, QA/QC, or site engineering with a contractor, consultant, or developer.
• Strong knowledge of civil and architectural construction methods, finishing works, waterproofing, blockwork, and inspection procedures.
• Experience reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and Technical Queries.
• Good understanding of UAE building codes and authority requirements (ADM, ADCD, DM/DDA, Estidama).
• Valid UAE driving licence and own vehicle, with willingness to travel regularly between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
