MEP ELECTRIAL ENGINEER

Requirements:

-Should have minimum 4 years Experience in Fit-Out/Construction industry in UAE.

. Design & Technical Responsibilities

• Review and interpret architectural, ID, and MEP coordination drawings for fit-out projects.
• Prepare, modify, and validate electrical shop drawings, load schedules, single-line diagrams, and materials submittals.
• Ensure electrical designs comply with UAE standards, including DEWA/ADDC/ TAQA/SEWA/FEWA/QCDD, and Civil Defense regulations.
• Conduct site surveys to verify existing conditions and develop accurate design solutions for fit-out works.
• Perform calculations for lighting, small power, load demands, voltage drop, cable sizing, and panel schedules.

2. Project Execution & Supervision

• Supervise onsite installation of electrical systems
• Closely monitor MEP contractors, technicians, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with drawings and project specifications.
• Coordinate with HVAC, Plumbing, and Civil/ID teams to resolve clashes and maintain smooth workflow.
• Ensure installation quality meets local authority requirements and international standards.

3. Coordination & Client/Consultant Communication

• Attend technical meetings with clients, consultants, landlords, mall management, and main contractors.
• Prepare and present technical submittals, method statements, work progress updates, and inspection requests.
• Coordinate with authorities (DEWA/ADDC/SEWA, Civil Defense) for approvals, NOCs, and inspections.

4. Procurement & Material Management

• Prepare BOQs, material requisitions, and compare supplier quotations for technical compliance.
• Review vendor specifications and ensure all materials conform to project requirements.
• Track material delivery schedules and ensure timely availability at site.

5. Testing, Commissioning & Handover

• Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical and ELV systems according to project standards.
• Prepare test reports, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documents.
• Facilitate final inspection with clients, consultants, and authorities until project completion.

6. Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure work execution follows HSE policies and site safety requirements.
• Raise NCRs, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure MEP activities are executed safely.

7. Planning & Project Control

• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and clients.
• Assist in project planning, sequencing of activities, and resolving delays.
• Monitor project budgets, identify variations, and support claims preparation if required.

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong understanding of mall fit-out regulations .
• Knowledge of fast-track fit-out execution and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), Dialux/Relux, and MS Project/Primavera.
• Good communication and coordination skills for handling consultants and landlords.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
