Job description

Our client is a leading global technology company that operates one of the world's largest consumer and developer platforms, serving billions of users worldwide. Through its digital ecosystem, the company empowers developers and partners to build engaging experiences, reach global audiences, and drive innovation at scale.

They are currently seeking an accounting professional to support regional statutory compliance and finance operations across APAC entities.

This is a 12-months contract.

Responsibilities

  • Manage timely and accurate statutory financial statement compliance for assigned APAC entities.
  • Coordinate statutory audits with external auditors and manage relationships with outsourced accounting and compliance service providers.
  • Partner with tax teams on corporate tax and indirect tax filings, and prepare/review tax-related balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Lead process improvement and transformation initiatives to enhance statutory compliance, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Track audit timelines, project status, risks, and deliverables while collaborating with regional and cross-functional teams.
  • Act as the primary administrator for vendor contracts, purchase orders, billing, and contract execution, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Maintain project documentation, status trackers, and support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of accounting and statutory compliance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory reporting, financial compliance, audit processes, and regional accounting practices; familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with a professional accounting qualification (e.g. CA or ACCA).
  • Prior experience from a multinational company or big four environment will be good to have.
  • Experience driving process improvements, implementing systems, and managing projects with tight deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Comfortable taking ownership of vendor contracting and finance operations activities.
