Tax Associate

International Law Firm seeks Tax Associate to join their Singapore Office

Main Responsibilities

• Follow key legal, regulatory, and market developments impacting international taxation, especially across the APAC region, and provide regular, structured updates to keep the office and international practice group informed.
• Advise clients on tax strategy and insights relating to current business and transactions, making sure that such advice is aligned with client needs, priorities and commercial and industry context.
• Coordinate and draft necessary record-keeping, reporting and filings related to taxation of client businesses and transactions.
• Respond to enquiries from lawyers in the firm by providing clear, accurate, and timely guidance on taxation matters.
• Support firm in developing and maintaining reputation for tax expertise in the region, including overseeing the development of high-quality legal content for client-facing initiatives and business development.

Skills and Experience

• Qualified lawyer certified to practice in a common law jurisdiction.
• 3-9 years PQE.
• Strong technical expertise in tax law, ideally with exposure to cross-border or APAC experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience engaging with senior stakeholders on strategic initiatives and implementation.
• Strong time management skills; able to prioritize competing demands in a pressured environment.
