About The Role

The Associate, Account will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of accounting records, full sets of accounts, closing of month-end accounts, processing month-end journals and day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform financial accounting duties including preparation of general ledger journals and month-end schedules.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports which comply with IFRS, tax and other regulatory requirements.
  • Process payments to vendors and reimbursements to employees.
  • Prepare invoices and follow up with customers on payments.
  • Perform trade/bank and revenue reconciliation and manage reconciling items.
  • Prepare GST returns and reconciliation.
  • Assist in statutory audits, tax compliance and other regulatory matters.
  • Assist in improvement of finance processes and controls and solve accounting issues from time to time.
  • Assist with other ad hoc projects and duties as assigned.

Desired Skill Set and Attributes

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting, minimum 1-3 years of experience in auditing or accounting position, preferably Big 4 firm and a CA/CPA.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint and hands-on experience in accounting software.
  • Professional written and verbal communication in English and Mandarin; fluency in Vietnamese is a huge plus.
  • Strong attention to details, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Proactive with strong sense of responsibility and urgency.
  • Good and effective interpersonal skills.
