Job Overview

Play a key role in supporting the Company's upstream oil and gas operations by managing financial reporting, JV accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, tax compliance, and statutory reporting. Partner with management, operational teams, JV partners, and HQ to deliver accurate financial insights, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic business decisions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage full set accounting of the business, including monthly and annual financial closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements and management reports for subsidiaries.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to management, E&P teams, and Headquarters (HQ), including support for subsidiary reporting and consolidation requirements.
  • Prepare audit schedules, statutory financial statements, tax filings, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances, process intercompany billings, and maintain accurate accounting records and internal controls.
  • Review expenditure statements, ensure proper cost allocation, and oversee Joint Venture (JV) accounting, including cash call tracking and compliance with approved AFE limits.
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting process, including budget preparation, consolidation, and management review support.
  • Manage payment and receipt processing, cash flow forecasting, cash reconciliations, and fixed asset registers for subsidiaries.
  • Review documents in Bahasa Indonesia / Bahasa Melayu.
  • Prepare simple financial reports in Chinese to HQ.
  • Liaise with management, JV partners, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders while undertaking any additional duties assigned to support business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Degree in Accounting
  • At least 4 years of relevant auditing / accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles
  • Proficient in accounting systems like SAP S/4Hana and Microsoft Excel
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a face paced environment
  • Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders like auditor, and authorities in Indonesia, China
