Job description

As a Material Handling Worker, you’ll help keep materials moving accurately, safely, and on time so production, service, and customer commitments stay on track. At BAKON , a Coperion brand – part of Hillenbrand, in Goes , the Netherlands, you’ll contribute to disciplined warehouse operations that support long-term performance and sustainable growth. We design and engineer bakery machines and production lines for the food industry. Your work will strengthen inventory reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the business.

Location: Goes, the Netherlands

Schedule: 40 hours per week.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Receive, inspect, and register incoming goods according to warehouse procedures and storage regulations.
  • Store, identify, and issue materials by using clear labeling, defined storage methods, and disciplined handling practices.
  • Prepare, dispatch, and support internal transport of goods by checking quantities, condition, and documentation.
  • Maintain warehouse data in the enterprise resource planning system by updating stock levels, storage locations, inspection status, and issue records.
  • Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels through periodic checks and replenishment requests.
  • Separate rejected goods, present items to Quality Control, and resolve discrepancies in shipment identification.
  • Improve warehouse flow, layout, and equipment use by identifying practical process improvements.

TEAM:

  • You’ll work closely with colleagues in warehouse operations, Purchasing, and Quality Control to keep materials moving with accuracy and respect for shared priorities.

THE EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED:

  • You’ll bring vocational secondary education, preferably in a technical field, so you can work confidently with materials, parts, tools, and warehouse processes.
  • You’ll have experience in a similar warehouse, logistics, or material handling environment so you can support daily operations with sound judgment and consistency.
  • You’ll have forklift experience, and a forklift certificate will help you handle materials safely and efficiently.
  • You’ll have Dutch language proficiency at a minimum C1 level so you can communicate clearly and effectively in day-to-day operations.
  • You’ll be able to use an enterprise resource planning system, or a similar digital system, to record stock movements and maintain accurate warehouse records.
  • You’ll pay close attention to quantity, labeling, transport damage, quality, and identification details so goods are received and shipped correctly.
  • You’ll show flexibility, discipline, and a meticulous approach when priorities shift or when shipment issues need to be handled carefully.
  • You’ll communicate clearly with internal partners and work in a customer-oriented way so material flow supports reliable service and business performance.
  • You’ll bring a practical, continuous improvement mindset and a readiness to learn so you can contribute to safer, more efficient warehouse operations over time.
