Fullstack Engineer (AI Focus)

Background

We are looking for a talented Full-Stack Engineer with specialized experience in AI to join our technology team. In this role, you will design, build, and scale production-grade AI applications and platform capabilities that drive digital transformation. You will be responsible for creating robust shared foundations that make AI systems observable, evaluable, and safe to deploy at scale.

Responsibilities

As a core member of our AI Engineering team, you will:

• Develop AI Applications: Design, build, test, deploy, and operate production-ready AI applications and intelligent services across the organization.
• Full-Stack Software Engineering: Write high-quality, maintainable full-stack software utilizing TypeScript, NestJS, React, Postgres, and AWS.
• AI Integration: Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and multimodal APIs into production environments, implementing advanced patterns such as prompting, tool/function calling, streaming, voice interaction, retrieval, and memory.
• Quality & Safety Evals: Build robust evaluation pipelines for AI quality, safety, regression testing, and human-in-the-loop review.
• Observability & Monitoring: Improve system observability across AI products, tracking traces, logs, metrics, user feedback loops, and model behavior.
• Prototyping & Scaling: Build, harden, and transition emerging AI prototypes into highly maintainable product or platform components.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, governance teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Note for Senior/Staff applicants: Senior and Staff engineers are additionally expected to lead architectural decisions, mentor junior engineers, establish engineering standards across product squads, and represent the team in high-level technical discussions.

Required Qualifications

• Strong Engineering Fundamentals: Proven expertise in system design, testing, debugging, CI/CD, observability, security, and writing maintainable code.
• Full-Stack Experience: Demonstrated ability to build and deploy production-grade full-stack applications and microservices.
• AI Development: Hands-on experience (or strong working knowledge) of LLM application development and integration.
• AI Quality Systems: Clear thinking regarding AI system quality, including evals, regression tests, failure modes, monitoring, and human review frameworks.
• Communication: Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both engineers and non-technical business stakeholders.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Tech Stack: Experience with TypeScript, NextJS, React, Vite, Postgres, AWS, Langfuse, or OpenTelemetry.
• Advanced AI Patterns: Experience integrating AI services (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or other LLM/multimodal APIs) alongside RAG, tool calling, agentic workflows, or voice interfaces.
• Domain Context: Familiarity with building digital systems within highly regulated environments, the public sector, or high-trust digital services.

Pay: $7,000.00 - $8,000.00 per month
