Senior Estimation Engineer

Bareek Al Bahar Tents Industries LLC is looking for a professional and experienced Senior Estimation Engineer with strong proven experience in steel structures, warehouses, portacabins, tents, tensile shades, car parking shades, and similar construction/fabrication works.

The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, material take-offs, technical evaluations, and commercial proposals for medium to high-value projects. Experience in government projects, main contractor projects, consultant submissions, and tendering procedures will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements carefully.
• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs for steel, fabric, civil foundations, cladding, roofing, accessories, and related works.
• Prepare detailed cost estimations, BOQs, technical/commercial offers, and internal cost breakdowns.
• Estimate works related to steel structures, warehouses, portacabins, tents, tensile shade structures, car parking shades, canopies, and similar projects.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Analyze material, manpower, equipment, transportation, fabrication, installation, overheads, and profit margins.
• Review structural drawings and identify missing details, risks, clarifications, and cost impacts.
• Prepare tender submissions in a professional format as per client/main contractor requirements.
• Support management in pricing strategy, value engineering, and final offer submission.
• Maintain proper records of quotations, supplier rates, project references, and estimation data.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, production, and site teams when required.

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience as an Estimation Engineer in steel structure, warehouse, portacabin, tents, shade structure, or similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, erection, structural members, plates, welding, painting, galvanizing, roofing, cladding, PVC/HDPE fabric, and civil foundation works.
• Experience in handling high-value projects and government/main contractor tenders.
• Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and shop drawings.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, material take-off, and cost breakdown.
• Good understanding of UAE market rates for steel, fabrication, painting, civil works, manpower, and installation.
• Experience with AutoCAD is required.
• Experience with PlanSwift or any estimation software will be an advantage.
• Strong Excel skills are required.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Must be accurate, responsible, and able to work under pressure with deadlines.

Preferred Candidate

• UAE experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with government projects, consultant approvals, and main contractor tender submissions is highly preferred.
• Candidate should be able to work independently and prepare complete estimation without continuous supervision.
• Candidate must be practical, detail-oriented, and commercially aware.

Salary

Salary will be discussed based on experience, technical knowledge, and performance during assessment.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
