Job description
Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) is a premier wealth management Private Bank dedicated to delivering tailored financial solutions to a diverse clientele. Data analytics is central to how we serve clients and run the business. As a WM Data Analyst Intern, you will extract, transform, and visualize data, primarily in Microsoft Power BI, to surface insights on key wealth management topics. You will develop intelligent, data-driven solutions by transforming and aggregating data into actionable visualizations for senior management. During your Internship, you will be mentored by the Head of WM Reporting & Dashboards in our Zurich office, with occasional travel to Geneva if required.
Main responsibilities:
- Extract, transform, and load data from internal systems using SQL and/or Python
- Build intuitive, well-modelled Power BI reports and dashboards using DAX and Power Query
- Deliver insight-driven analysis and commentary for management, including trend analysis and KPI tracking
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, iterate on prototypes, and ensure dashboard adoption
- Contribute to data quality checks and documentation, and support ad-hoc data initiatives as prioritized by the team lead
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a master’s degree or holding a bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, or a related field
- Previous experience in banking or corporate business analytics, workshops, bootcamps is advantageous
- Technical skills in SQL, Power BI, and Python, willingness and ability to learn are essential
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German or French is highly desirable
- Strong analytical and research skills, with a natural curiosity and a structured, organized approach
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an assertive and constructive mindset
- A proactive, adaptable, and confident team player who thrives on tackling new challenges
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a "Problem-Action-Results" mindset
This is a 100% on-site, 6-month Internship in Zurich with no possibility for remote work.
Start Date: 1st October 2026
Eligible applicants must not have completed their master’s degree by the start date of the Internship. Additionally, candidates must be enrolled at a university or taking a gap year between their bachelor's and master’s studies.
