Bioprocess Engineer – Commercial Biologics Manufacturing (USP / DSP)

We are currently looking for a hands-on Bioprocess Engineer with strong large-scale GMP manufacturing experience to support commercial biologics production on-site at major pharmaceutical facilities in Switzerland.

This role is strictly production-oriented and focused on commercial-scale USP/DSP operations , not laboratory or early-stage R&D development.

Your Responsibilities

• Support and oversee large-scale GMP manufacturing (USP/DSP) in commercial production

• Ensure reliable batch execution (2’000L–20’000L scale or equivalent)

• Act as shopfloor SME for real-time troubleshooting of process and equipment issues

• Lead deviation investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation

• Review batch records and ensure GMP compliance

• Support validation (PPQ, process validation, cleaning validation)

• Collaborate closely with Production, QA, MSAT, Engineering & Maintenance

• Train operators and support audits/inspections

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in Bioprocess, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or similar

• 3–5+ years of experience in GMP commercial biologics manufacturing

• Proven hands-on experience in large-scale mammalian USP and/or DSP

• Strong understanding of industrial equipment (bioreactors, chromatography skids, filtration, CIP/SIP)

• Experience in deviation management in a production environment

• Comfortable working on the shopfloor in a fast-paced GMP setting

• Fluent in German and English
