Role Description The Hotel Accountant ( محاسب فندق ) is a full-time, on-site role based in Jeddah. This role is responsible for managing daily hotel financial transactions, including recording revenues, expenses, and payments, and ensuring accurate posting to the accounting system. The Hotel Accountant prepares and reviews daily income reports, reconciles cash and bank accounts, and monitors accounts payable and receivable related to hotel operations. The role includes assisting with monthly closings, preparing financial statements, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and relevant regulations. The Hotel Accountant collaborates with hotel management and other departments to provide clear financial insights for decision-making and budgeting.

Qualifications

  • Strong accounting fundamentals, including knowledge of general ledger, journal entries, and financial reporting.
  • Experience in hotel or hospitality accounting, including revenue reconciliation, night audit review, and cost control.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including data entry, reconciliation, and basic analysis.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy in numerical work, and ability to maintain organized financial records.
  • Ability to work on-site in Jeddah and coordinate effectively with hotel and retail operations teams.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in retail or hospitality finance, and familiarity with local accounting standards, is beneficial.
