Your role

As a Senior Platform Engineer , You Will

• Design and manage scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environments on GCP and AWS
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Deployment Manager
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to accelerate deployment processes
• Design and implement cloud security including IAM, Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP), firewall rules
• Provision and manage networking, compute, storage, and database services in the cloud
• Improve reliability and performance through effective monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to build custom cloud solutions

Your skill-set

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering (GCP, AWS, or hybrid environments)
• Solid knowledge in cloud networking, IAM, compute, and storage services
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform preferred
• Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, Bash, or similar
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience working in consulting environments
• Strong team spirit and excellent implementation skills in projects
• High social competence and enjoyment of working in diverse teams
• Strong willingness for personal and professional development
• Completed studies (e.g. in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Physics)
• Broad technological understanding and analytical approach
• Professional attitude and fluent German and English skills

Nice-to-have

• GCP or AWS certifications (e.g. GCP Professional Cloud Engineer, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner)
• Experience with server-less architectures (e.g. Cloud Functions, AWS Lambda)
• Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices
• Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles

Project setup

• Primary workplace is on-site at the client’s location in the German-speaking part of Switzerland
• Workload: 80–100%, with flexible working hours and home office options depending on the project
